HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate the Calhoun High School 
4softball team, the Warriors, on winning the 2016 Illinois High 
5School Association Class 1A Championship; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The Warriors won their second consecutive State 
7title with a 3-0 victory over the Princeville Princes at the 
8Eastside Centre in Peoria; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, The championship win followed a semifinal game 
10that was scoreless for 16 innings; and
  
 

  
11    WHEREAS, A large contingent of Warrior fans made the trip 
12to Peoria and began the celebration back in Hardin; the 
13Warriors rode through town on a fire truck upon arriving in 
14Hardin and a celebration rally was held for the team at the 
15Knights of Columbus Hall; therefore, be it
  
 
16    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
17NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
18congratulate the Calhoun High School softball team, the 
19Warriors, on winning the 2016 Illinois High School Association 
20Class 1A Championship, and we wish them many more successful 
21years; and be it further
