| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the
death of Jeffrey |
| 4 | | A. Lovett, who passed away on July 10, 2016, surrounded by his |
| 5 | | family; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Jeffrey Lovett was born in Temple, Texas to Donald |
| 7 | | Lovett and Carol Pulver on March 18, 1958; he attended Dixon |
| 8 | | High School, where he met his future wife, Lisa; the two
were |
| 9 | | high school sweethearts and married in 1974 and had two amazing |
| 10 | | daughters,
Heather and Sarah, who blessed him with four |
| 11 | | grandchildren, Haley, Lillian, Katherine, and
Marianna; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Jeffrey Lovett graduated from Dixon High School in |
| 13 | | 1976 and continued his
studies at Sauk Valley College, where he |
| 14 | | earned an Associate's Degree; he continued his
education at |
| 15 | | Northern Illinois University graduating with a Bachelor of |
| 16 | | Science in Finance; and |
| 17 | | WHEREAS, After the completion of his formal educational |
| 18 | | studies, Jeffrey Lovett entered the
workplace as a loan officer |
| 19 | | for the State Bank of Paw Paw; in 1985, he began a new job at
|
| 20 | | Dixon National Bank as an Assistant Vice-President in the loan |
| 21 | | department; and |
|

| 1 | | WHEREAS, In 1992, Dixon National Bank was sold to AMCORE, |
| 2 | | and Jeffrey Lovett was made Senior
Vice-President/Chief |
| 3 | | Lending Officer, a position he held until 1999 when he was made |
| 4 | | the
President/Chief Operation Officer; and |
| 5 | | WHEREAS, In 2010, Midland States Bank purchased the AMCORE |
| 6 | | banks that Jeffrey Lovett managed and
named him one of three |
| 7 | | Regional Market Presidents, having oversight of the branches in |
| 8 | | Dixon,
Freeport, Sterling, Rock Falls, Princeton, Peru, and |
| 9 | | Mendota; despite going through many name
changes at various |
| 10 | | banks and companies, he was dedicated to his community; and |
| 11 | | WHEREAS, While Jeffrey Lovett lived in Ashton, he served on |
| 12 | | the village board and was the
President of the Ashton Lions |
| 13 | | Club; when he moved to Dixon, he continued his involvement with
|
| 14 | | the Lions Club, serving as a past President; he also was |
| 15 | | involved with the Dixon YMCA and the Dixon
Petunia Festival and |
| 16 | | was a board member of Sinnissippi Centers; he was involved with |
| 17 | | the Ronald Reagan Boyhood Home
Preservation Foundation and |
| 18 | | served several terms as the President of the Belted Galloway |
| 19 | | Association; and
|
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Jeffrey Lovett was a lifelong student of history |
| 21 | | with a passion studying the Civil
War and genealogy, a love and |
| 22 | | passion he shared with his two daughters, Heather and Sarah; |
| 23 | | and
|

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Jeffrey Lovett loved his family and cared deeply |
| 2 | | for his local community,
frequently going out of his way to |
| 3 | | lend a hand to those in need; he will be dearly missed by his
|
| 4 | | loving family, close friends, and his community; therefore, be |
| 5 | | it
|
| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 7 | | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 8 | | mourn the passing of Jeffrey A. Lovett, and extend our sincere |
| 9 | | condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved |
| 10 | | him; and be it further
|
| 11 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 12 | | presented to the family of Jeffrey Lovett as an expression of |
| 13 | | our deepest sympathy.
