HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate Dave Ziegenbein on 25 
4years in the ministry; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Dave Ziegenbein took a missionary trip to Hong 
6Kong in 1989; he graduated from  Lincoln Christian College in 
7Lincoln in 1991; he  took his first
ministry job at Pleasant 
8Hill Christian Church in Raymond and  delivered his first sermon 
9on October 13, 1991; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Dave Ziegenbein has been a very active minister; 
11he and many church members have worked in Mexico, Haiti, 
12Indonesia, and Africa; they have also ministered across the 
13United States; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Under the leadership of Dave Ziegenbein, Pleasant 
15Hill Christian Church has seen tremendous growth in all areas; 
16in 1999, ground was broken and construction began on the

17present sanctuary, classrooms, nursery, lobby, and offices; in 
18the following years, property was purchased
to make additional 
19space available to hold youth and churchwide activities; 15 
20acres of farm land was purchased for further development; and
  
 
  
21    WHEREAS, Dave Ziegenbein and his wife, Margaret, have two

1children, Jordan and Mallory; he
has served on the Raymond 
2Library Board, and currently serves with the Raymond-Harvel 
3Community Fund; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
5NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
6congratulate Dave Ziegenbein on 25 years in the ministry and we 
7wish him many more wonderful years; and be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to Dave Ziegenbein as an expression of our esteem and 
10respect.
