HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of  Kenneth 
4Michael Beasley, who passed away on October 16, 2016; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Kenneth Beasley was born on November 19, 1946 in 
6St. Louis, Missouri; his parents were Sam and Norma Jean 
7McClure; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Kenneth Beasley worked as a concrete finisher with 
9OPCMIA Local #90 for 30 years; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Kenneth Beasley served four terms in office as 
11Mayor of the Village of South Roxana; he served the Village as 
12Building and Zoning Inspector; he served as a trustee for the 
13South Roxana Fire Protection District and as a reserve police 
14officer for the village; he was a co-owner of "Debbie's 
15Market"; he also donated his time fixing potholes and pouring 
16concrete for village projects; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Kenneth Beasley was preceded in death by his 
18parents and his daughter, Kimberly McClure; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, Kenneth Beasley is survived by his wife of 35 
20years, Deborah; his sons, Brit Beasley, Chris (Jenny) Williams,

1Kevin Beasley, David (Jen) Davis, and Donnie (Tiffany) Davis; 
2his daughter, Renee Reader; 17 grandchildren; and four 
3great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
5NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
6we, along with his family and friends, mourn the passing of 
7Kenneth Michael Beasley; and be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Kenneth Beasley as an expression of 
10our sympathy.
