HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Dave Janaes on the 
4occasion of his retirement from the West Chicago Fire 
5Protection District after 53 years of dedicated service; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Dave Janaes served the West Chicago Fire 
7Protection District as a volunteer/paid-on-call firefighter 
8from 1963 to 1992; he then served as a Trustee and tenure as 
9President of the West Chicago Fire Protection District Board 
10from 1992 to 2016; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, In honor of his service, the West Chicago Fire 
12Protection District Board named Engine 5, a 2015 Ferrara Fire 
13Engine, after Dave Janaes; the engine will carry that honorary 
14designation for its entire service life to the West Chicago 
15Fire Protection District; and

  
 
16    WHEREAS, Dave Janaes serves as a model of hard work, 
17integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of 
18Illinois; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
20NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
21congratulate Dave Janaes on the occasion of his retirement and

1wish him continued success and happiness in the future; and be

3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
4presented to Dave Janaes as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
