HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate the Southeastern Illinois College (SIC) Archery Team, the Falcons, on their success at the 2016 United States Intercollegiate Archery Championship; and

WHEREAS, The women's bow hunter team, Alli Armstrong, Jessica Morris, and Kira McCalip, was crowned national champions; and

WHEREAS, Stephani Poe, Jessica Morris, and Casey Poe were named All-American; and

WHEREAS, Alli Armstrong and Stephanie Poe were named to the United States Intercollegiate Archery Championship Academic All-American team; and

WHEREAS, Stephani Poe and Casey Poe finished third in the mixed team open compound division; and

WHEREAS, Alli Armstrong and Elijah Bond finished third in the mixed team bow hunter division; and

WHEREAS, The Falcons have dominated Division I archery over the past five years; they have three national championships, one second place finish, and one third place finish; and

WHEREAS, The SIC archery program has 13 national Division I titles, 24 All-Americans, and six Academic All-Americans; and

WHEREAS, The Falcons are Alli Armstrong, Jessica Morris, Kira MaCalip, Stephani Poe, Casey Poe, Elijah Bond, Rhett Bullard, Jeffrey George, Makayla McKenzie, Matthew Horton, Garrett Lane, Kenny Raigner Jr., Tyler Cheek, and Adriana Armstrong; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the Southeastern Illinois College Archery Team, the Falcons, on their success at the 2016 U.S. Intercollegiate Archery Championship, and we wish them many more successful years; and be it further

RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be presented to the Falcons as an expression of our esteem and respect.
