HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate the Hinsdale Central High 
4School Boys Golf Team, the Red Devils, on winning its fifth 
5consecutive State championship; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The Red Devils completed the 2016 season by 
7winning the State championship at The Den at Fox Creek golf 
8course in
Bloomington on October 14th and 15th; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, The Red Devils compiled a two-day team score of 
10593 strokes, 25 better than second place; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Brendan O'Reilly was the individual State 
12champion with a two under par 142, a five
stroke margin over 
13the second place finisher; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Matt Wingren was All-State with a seventh place 
15finish and a score of 149;
Josh Lundmark finished 11th with a 
16score of 151;
Gabe Larson finished 32nd with a score of 157;

17Mac McClear finished 40th with a score of  158;
Jack Hoiberg 
18finished 58th with a score of 162; and
  
 
19    WHEREAS, The Head Coach for the Red Devils is Jess Krueger; 
20the
Assistant Coach is Jim Horan; and

1    WHEREAS, Five consecutive State championships is a record 
2for Class 3A Boys Golf; therefore, be it
  
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
4NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
5congratulate the Hinsdale Central High School Boys Golf Team, 
6the Red Devils, on winning its fifth consecutive State 
7championship, and we wish them many more successful years; and 
8be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the Red Devils as an expression of our esteem and 
11respect.
