HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate the Forreston High School Football Team, the Cardinals, on winning the 2016 Illinois High School Association Class 1A Football State Championship; and

WHEREAS, The Cardinals finished the season with an undefeated record of 14 wins and zero losses on their path to the championship; and

WHEREAS, The Cardinals belong to the Northwest Upstate Illini Conference; and

WHEREAS, The Cardinals head coach is Denny Diduch; the Assistant Coaches are Greg Burckhardt, Nick Gill, Keynon Janicke, Mike McClellan, Adam Schelling, Lane Schurr, Mike Scott, Chet Strehlow, Cole Strehlow, Scott Timm, and Kyle Zick; the Athletic Trainers are Katie Benning and Eric Katzenberger; the Managers are Bailey Culler, Kirk Janicke, Seth Nelson, and Brayden Politsch; and

WHEREAS, The Cardinals are Ryan Dillavou, Mickey Lamping, Evan Kelsey, Hunter Rogers, Spencer Kelsey, Cailean Davids, Austin Schramm, Hunter Daws, Cade Kuelling, Hayden Singley, Tyler Bryant, Sawyer Wild, Garett Badertscher, Jacob Swanson, Brittan Devries, Joseph Bowers, Gavin Fuchs, Matt Akins, AJ Christensen, Ben Sketo, Lane Henneman, Noah Gipe, Joseph Fiorello, Brayden Walton, Cameron Timm, Skylar Regez, Steve Christensen, Shaun Wedmaier, Cody Stewart, Derrick Vince, Michael Singley, Mitchell Heinz, Justin Lampe, Cody Moser, Dan Watter, Dalton Becker, and Sam Barkalow; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the Forreston High School Football Team, the Cardinals, on winning the 2016 Illinois High School Association Class 1A Football State Championship, and we wish them many years of continued success; and be it further

RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be presented to the Cardinals as an expression of our esteem and respect.
