HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to recognize Bob "Doc" Adams as he steps 
4down from his position as Board Chairman of the Midwest Shelter 
5for Homeless Veterans (MSHV); and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Bob Adams is a combat veteran of the Vietnam War; 
7he co-founded the MSHV with Dirk
Enger, a combat veteran of 
8Desert Storm; and
 
9    WHEREAS, In collaboration with the local community, Bob 
10Adams opened the MSHV "Nicholas Larsen Home" in Wheaton on

11January 28, 2007; and
 
12    WHEREAS, As the MSHV Clinical Director, Bob Adams, has
been 
13able to provide a range of supportive services to
individual 
14veterans; and
  
 


  
15    WHEREAS, The MSHV offers affordable
housing to low-income 
16veterans; therefore, be it
  
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
18NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
19congratulate Bob "Doc" Adams for his outstanding leadership and 
20we express our appreciation for his efforts in support of

1veterans; and be it further
  
 
2    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

3presented  to Bob Adams as recognition of our esteem and
respect 
4for his commitment to helping homeless veterans in
Illinois.
