HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to honor Pastor Fredrick E. Wilson Jr. for 
430 years of ministry and for 17 as Senior Pastor of The Temple 
5of Glory Church International in Chicago; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Pastor Wilson holds a Bachelor of Science from 
7Moody Bible Institute in  Chicago; he has studied at Oxford 
8University in England and is currently pursuing a dual Master 
9of Divinity and Master of Business Administration from North 
10Park University in Chicago; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Pastor Wilson is a community leader; he has 
12ministered in England and South Africa; he speaks weekly to 
13some of the leading pastors of the  world via social media; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, Pastor Wilson is a gifted song writer, musician, 
15and singer who has performed with and written for several 
16artists, including Barbra Streisand, Heart, Ellis Marsalis, 
17Reggie Royal and Judah, and Dr. Noah Nicholson and the Family 
18Worship Center; in December of 2015, he led the Chicago 
19Christian Choir in singing Christmas carols at The White House; 
20his original music is available for purchase on iTunes; and
  
 
21    WHEREAS, Pastor Wilson is a member of Kappa Alpha Psi

1Fraternity Inc., where he served as Political Action 
2Chairperson and Chaplain; and
  
 
3    WHEREAS, Pastor Wilson and his wife, Marcie Wilson, have 
4two children, Fredrick E. Wilson III, and Kya Alexandria; 
5therefore, be it
  
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
7NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
8honor Pastor Fredrick E. Wilson Jr. for 30 years of ministry 
9and 17 as Senior Pastor of The Temple of Glory Church 
10International in Chicago; and be it further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to Pastor Wilson as an expression of our esteem and 
13respect.
