| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Michael |
| 4 | | Patrick Frickey of Fairbury, who passed away on December 10, |
| 5 | | 2016; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Michael Frickey was born in Evergreen Park to |
| 7 | | Willard and Mary Mullman Frickey on April 8, 1958; he attended |
| 8 | | Eurkea College and married Cynthia A. Clausen in Dwight on |
| 9 | | September 29, 1979; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Michael Frickey was a career police officer, |
| 11 | | serving the Livingston County area; he was a Livingston County |
| 12 | | Sheriff's Deputy from 1979 to 1992 and an officer for the |
| 13 | | Fairbury Police Department from 1992 to 2016, serving as Chief |
| 14 | | from 2013 to 2016; and
|
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Michael Frickey was the past President of |
| 16 | | Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #186, a DARE officer, a Prairie |
| 17 | | Central High School resource officer, and a member of the |
| 18 | | Livingston County ERU team and Livingston County Proactive |
| 19 | | units; he was one of the founders of the CIFL program and a |
| 20 | | volunteer football coach for many years; he was a member of St. |
| 21 | | Andrew Catholic Church in Fairbury; and
|
|

| 1 | | WHEREAS, In November of 2016, Michael Frickey witnessed one |
| 2 | | of his lifelong dreams, to see the Chicago Cubs win the World |
| 3 | | Series; and
|
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Michael Frickey was preceded in death by his |
| 5 | | parents; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Michael Frickey is survived by his wife, Cynthia; |
| 7 | | his children, Megan (Bryan) Fehr, Jon Frickey (Crystal Athey), |
| 8 | | and Dane Frickey; his five grandchildren, Maggie, Koltyn, |
| 9 | | Konnor, and Nora Fehr, and Aria Frickey; his sisters, Kathy and |
| 10 | | Linda Frickey, and Gilda (Richard) Johnson; his brother, Bill |
| 11 | | Frickey (Jean Anne Thais); and many nieces, nephews, |
| 12 | | great-nieces, and great-nephews; therefore, be it
|
| 13 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 14 | | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we |
| 15 | | mourn the passing of Michael Patrick Frickey, and extend our |
| 16 | | sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew |
| 17 | | and loved him; and be it further
|
| 18 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 19 | | presented to the family of Michael Frickey as an expression of |
| 20 | | our deepest sympathy.
