AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 263




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 263, AS AMENDED, 
3with reference to page and line numbers of Senate Amendment No. 
41, on page 14, immediately below line 26, by inserting the 
5following:


6        "(3) Paragraph (1) of this subsection (f) shall not 
7    apply to Ordinance No. 16-5768, adopted by the Cook County 
8    Board of Commissioners on October 26, 2016, provided that: 
9    (i) the provisions set forth in the ordinance are not 
10    changed by the Cook County Board of Commissioners after 
11    October 26, 2016; (ii) the minimum wage paid to employees 
12    subject to Section 42-9 of that ordinance beginning July 1, 
13    2020, and each year thereafter, is no greater than $13.00 
14    per hour; and (iii) the minimum wage required to be paid 
15    employees in occupations receiving gratuities, subject to 
16    Section 42-10 of that ordinance, beginning on July 1, 2020, 
17    and each year thereafter, is no greater than the amount 
18    calculated on or before June 1, 2020, pursuant to paragraph

1    (2) of subsection (b) of Section 42-10 of that ordinance. 
2    This paragraph (3) of this subsection (f) is a limitation 
3    under subsection (i) of Section 6 of Article VII of the 
4    Illinois Constitution.".
