| 1 | | AN ACT concerning local government.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Cook County Forest Preserve District Act is |
| 5 | | amended by changing Section 8.4 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (70 ILCS 810/8.4)

| 7 | | Sec. 8.4. Rules and regulations governing construction |
| 8 | | Building codes. All codes, rules, and regulations which govern |
| 9 | | land use, construction, and alteration of buildings, |
| 10 | | structures, parts, and appurtenances thereof adopted by the |
| 11 | | county board of the county in which the district is located The |
| 12 | | building codes of a county, and not the
building codes of any |
| 13 | | other unit of local government in which the affected
district
|
| 14 | | property is located, shall apply to all construction projects |
| 15 | | on property owned
by the district. The codes, rules, and |
| 16 | | regulations of any other unit of local government, other than a |
| 17 | | county, in which the affected district property is located do |
| 18 | | not apply to construction projects on property owned by the |
| 19 | | district.
