AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1334 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1334, AS AMENDED, 
3with reference to page and line numbers of House  Amendment No. 
43,  on page 13, line 16,  after "education", by inserting ", 
5other than a community college,"; and

 
6on page 13, line 23,  after "education", by inserting ", other 
7than a community college,"; and
 

8on page 14, line 7,  after "education", by inserting ", other 
9than a community college,"; and
 

10on page 14, immediately below line 16,  by inserting the 
11following:

12    "(d) When a community college awards a contract for 
13insurance services, investment services, information 
14technology services, accounting services, architectural and 
15engineering services, and legal services, it shall be the

1aspirational goal of each community college to use businesses 
2owned by minorities, females, and persons with disabilities as 
3defined in this Act for not less than 20% of the total amount 
4spent on contracts for these services collectively.  When a 
5community college awards contracts for investment services, 
6contracts awarded to investment managers who are not emerging 
7investment managers as defined in this Act shall not be 
8considered businesses owned by minorities, females, or persons 
9with disabilities for the purposes of this Section."
 

10    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 
11becoming law.
