Amends the Illinois Municipal Code. Provides that before a municipality uses territory annexed under to this Division for sand, rock, or gravel mining operations, the municipality must have approval of all township boards of trustees, by a majority vote of each board, whose township has jurisdiction over all or part of a highway or road within 20 miles of the annexed territory. Effective immediately.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Municipal Code is amended by adding |
| 5 | | Section 7-1-10.5 as follows:

| 7 | | Sec. 7-1-10.5. Approval of township board. Before a |
| 8 | | municipality uses territory annexed under to this Division for |
| 9 | | sand, rock, or gravel mining operations, the municipality must |

| 11 | | vote of each board, whose township has jurisdiction over all or |
| 12 | | part of a highway or road within 20 miles of the annexed |
| 13 | | territory.
