Amends the Animal Care Act. Provides for the on-site impoundment of horses and other large domesticated animals by an animal control facility in cases where the animals are being hoarded. Provides that the animal control facility may provide care for the animals at the site pursuant to a court order. Effective immediately.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Animal Welfare Act is amended by adding |
| 5 | | Section 3.10 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (225 ILCS 605/3.10 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 3.10. Animal hoarding; on-site impoundment for horses |
| 8 | | and other large domesticated animals. In cases where a person |
| 9 | | has engaged in the hoarding of horses or other large |
| 10 | | domesticated animals, an animal control facility may perform an |
| 11 | | on-site impoundment of the animals. The animal control center |
| 12 | | may provide care for the animals at the site pursuant to a |
| 13 | | court order.

| 14 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 15 | | becoming law.
