| 1 | | AN ACT concerning State government.
|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The State Agency Web Site Act is amended by |
| 5 | | changing Section 5 and by adding Section 20 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (5 ILCS 177/5)

| 7 | | Sec. 5. Definitions. As used in this Act:
|
| 8 | | "Cookie" means a set of computer data or instructions that |
| 9 | | is placed on a
consumer's computer by a Web site server to |
| 10 | | collect or store information about
the
consumer.
|
| 11 | | "State agencies" has the meaning given to that term in |
| 12 | | Section 1-7 of the
Illinois State Auditing Act.
|
| 13 | | "License" means any license, certification, registration, |
| 14 | | or permit issued by an executive branch State agency, except |
| 15 | | for a driver's license, State identification card, or vehicle |
| 16 | | registration issued by the Secretary of State or any license |
| 17 | | issued by the State Board of Elections. |
