| 1 | | AN ACT concerning regulation.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Insurance Code is amended by adding |
| 5 | | Section 355.4 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (215 ILCS 5/355.4 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 355.4. Provider notification of network plan changes. |
| 8 | | Any contract entered into or renewed on or after the effective |
| 9 | | date of this amendatory Act of the 99th General Assembly that |
| 10 | | allows the rights and obligations of the contract to be |
| 11 | | assigned or leased to another insurer shall provide for notice |
| 12 | | of that assignment or lease within 30 days after the assignment |
| 13 | | or lease to the contracting dentist.

| 14 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 15 | | becoming law. |
