| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2371 as follows:

| 3 | | on page 8, by replacing lines 7 through 12 with the following: |
| 4 | | "(ii) has been the foster parent of a child in the |
| 5 | | custody or guardianship of the Department pursuant to this |
| 6 | | Act and the Juvenile Court Act of 1987 for a minimum of one |
| 7 | | year, has established a significant and family-like |
| 8 | | relationship with the child, and has been identified by the |
| 9 | | Department as the child's permanent connection, as defined |
| 10 | | by Department rule. The fictive kin relationship under this |
| 11 | | paragraph (ii) continues as long as the child remains |
| 12 | | placed in the home of the foster parent.".
