Amends the Property Tax Code. Provides that the chief county
assessment officer shall return the assessment books to the board of review on or before the third Monday in June of the
assessment year, or on or before the 90th day following the certification of the final township assessment roll in the county, whichever is later (currently, on or before the third Monday in June of the
assessment year). Effective immediately.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Property Tax Code is amended by changing |
| 5 | | Section 9-245 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (35 ILCS 200/9-245)
|
| 7 | | Sec. 9-245.
Return of books to board of review; counties of |
| 8 | | less than
3,000,000. In counties with less than 3,000,000 |
| 9 | | inhabitants, the chief county
assessment officer shall on or |
