1    AN ACT concerning revenue.
  
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
 
3represented in the General Assembly:
  
 
 
4    Section 5. The Property Tax Code is amended  by changing 
5Section 9-245 as follows:
 



6    (35 ILCS 200/9-245)



7    Sec. 9-245. 
Return of books to board of review; counties of 
8less than
3,000,000.  In counties with less than 3,000,000 
9inhabitants, the chief county
assessment officer shall on or 
10before the third Monday in June of the
assessment year, or on 
11or before the 90th day following the certification of the final 
12township assessment roll in the county, certified pursuant to 
13Section 9-230 of this Code, whichever is later, return the 
14assessment books to the board of review verified by
affidavit, 
15substantially in the following form:

19    I,...., chief county assessment officer  do solemnly swear 
20that this
book contains a correct and full list of all the 
21property subject to taxation
in ...., so far as I have been 
22able to ascertain the same; and
that the assessed value set

1just and equitable assessment under the law, to the best of my

2knowledge and belief, and that the footings of the columns and

accompanying tabular statement, are correct to the best of 
4my knowledge and
belief.
