AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2990




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2990 as follows:


 
3on page 1, line 7, after "7-10.5,", by inserting "7-31,"; and
 
4on page 41, line 20, by replacing "determine" with "determines 
5determine"; and
 
6on page 47, line 16, by replacing "an ex officio member" with 
7"secretary an ex officio member"; and
 
8on page 62, line 12, after "after", by inserting "(i)"; and
 
9on page 62, line 14, by replacing "and" with "in the event of a 
10detachment or (ii)"; and
 
11on page 63, immediately below line 3, by inserting the

1    "(105 ILCS 5/7-31 new)
2    Sec. 7-31. Applicability.  For any petition filed with the 
3regional superintendent of schools under this Article prior to 
4the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 99th General 
5Assembly, including a petition for a rehearing pursuant to 
6subsection (n) of Section 7-6 of this Code, the proposed action 
7described in the petition, including all notices, hearings, 
8administrative decisions, ballots, elections, and passage 
9requirements relating thereto, shall proceed and be in 
10accordance with the law in effect on the date of the filing.".
