Amends the Motor Vehicle Theft Reporting Act. Provides that for each day after the discovery that a motor vehicle in possession of a motor vehicle repair station has been stolen, and a report has not been made to a police department or sheriff's department, shall be a separate violation.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Motor Vehicle Theft Reporting Act is amended |
| 5 | | by changing Section 15 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (625 ILCS 10/15)
|
| 7 | | Sec. 15. Penalty. A person who violates Section 10 of this |
| 8 | | Act is guilty
of a business offense and shall be fined not less |
| 9 | | than $501 and not more than
$1,000.
|
| 10 | | Each day after the discovery that the motor vehicle in |
| 11 | | which the report is not made to the police department or |
| 12 | | sheriff's department shall be a separate violation. |
