SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Eleanor "Ellie" McCann, who passed away
4on October 21, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Eleanor McCann was born on November 9, 1921 in
6Lake Villa; she married Joe McCann on January 3, 1941; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Eleanor McCann worked as a secretary at Gurnee
8Grade School for 11 years; she went on to work for the Racine
9Unified School District until she retired in 1982; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Eleanor McCann was a member of the Gurnee
11Community Church since 1941; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Eleanor McCann was preceded in death by her
13husband, Joe; her parents, Herman and Tena Meier; and a sister,
14Sophia Jochims; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Eleanor McCann is survived by 3 children, Cathy
16Burleson, Tom (Betty) McCann, and Mary (Jim) Quinn; 6
17grandchildren, Debbie (Keith) Treadway, Dawn (Tracy) Clemons,
18Scott (Lindsay) McCann, Eric (Chrissy) McCann, Jim (Maria)
19Quinn, and Kyle Quinn; and 6 great-grandchildren, Jessica
20Ledford, Derrick Clemons, Nick Clemons, Scarlette McCann, Jack

1Quinn, and Rylan McCann; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
4family and friends, mourn the passing of Eleanor "Ellie"
5McCann; and be it further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Eleanor McCann as an expression of
8our sympathy.
