SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Nancy C. Rafferty of Grayslake, who 
4passed away on October 4, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Nancy Rafferty was born in 1933 in Libertyville 
6and grew up in Highland Park; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Nancy Rafferty was a graduate of Marywoods 
8Academy; she subsequently attended Loretto Heights University; 
9and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Nancy Rafferty was a member of St. Mary of the 
11Annunciation Parish and was a former parishioner of St. Joseph 
12Catholic Church in Libertyville; and

  
 
13    WHEREAS, Nancy Rafferty is survived by her husband of 60 
14years, Alex; 7 children, Theresa (Terrance) Grom, Alex 
15Rafferty, Timothy (Lisa) Rafferty, Kevin Rafferty, Kelly 
16(Walter) Swietlik, Leslie (Tod) Hoffmann, and Elizabeth 
17(James) Jung; 22 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a 
18brother, James (Patsy) Kelly; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her

1family and friends, mourn the passing of Nancy C. Rafferty; and 
2be it further
  
 
3    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
4presented to the family of Nancy Rafferty as an expression of
