SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of John J. "Jake" Jakovich, who passed away
4on December 21, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, John Jakovich graduated from Joliet Catholic High
6School in 1961; and
 
7    WHEREAS, John Jakovich had a renowned career in the retail
8automotive industry; he worked for many years at Vidmar Buick
9and finished as Executive Manager at Bill Jacobs Chevrolet in
10Plainfield in 2010; and
 
11    WHEREAS, John Jakovich was an avid golfer and bowler; he
12was a member of the Moran Athletic Club and Plainfield Moose
13Lodge #2491; and
 
14    WHEREAS, John Jakovich was preceded in death by his
15parents, John E. and Alice (nee Benedick) Jakovich; his
16brother-in-law; and numerous aunts and uncles; and
 
17    WHEREAS, John Jakovich is survived by his wife of 48 years,
18Marilyn (nee Sorensen); his sons, John "Jake, Jr.", Jason
19(Amanda), and Joseph (Shannon) Jakovich; his grandchildren,
20Brady, Jake, Alison, Jack, and Maggie Jakovich; his sister,

1Mary Alyce Koren; his special niece and Goddaughter, Jenelle
2Koren; and numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives,
3and friends; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6John J. "Jake" Jakovich, and extend our sincere condolences to
7his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of John Jakovich as an expression of
11our deepest sympathy.
