SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Robert "Bob" Gand, who passed away on 
4December 31, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Gand was a folk singer, jazz trumpet 
6player, civil rights worker, music teacher and mentor, avid 
7runner, and veteran; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Robert Gand was the proprietor of the Village 
9Music Store in Deerfield for 51 years; and
  
 
  
10    WHEREAS, Robert Gand was preceded in death by his wife, 
11Myrna (nee Grossman); and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Robert Gand is survived by his 2 children, Gary 
13Gand (Joan) and Gale Gand (Jimmy Seidita); his 3 grandchildren, 
14Ruby Gand Seidita, Ella Gand Seidita, and Gio Gand Tramonto; 
15and his brother, Bill Gand (Marilyn Gand); therefore, be it
  
 
16    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
17ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
18Robert "Bob" Gand, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
19family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
