SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Russell "Rusty" Chism, who passed away on 
4January 22, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Russell Chism was born in Champaign on January 1, 
61965 to Forrest and Nancy (nee Swan) Chism; he married Prease 
7Winkler on October 5, 1991 in St. Joseph; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Russell Chism worked for the St. Joseph-Stanton 
9Fire Protection District for more than 30 years, including the 
10past 10 years as Fire Chief; he also worked as Division Chief 
11for the Urbana Fire Department; he previously worked as a 
12paramedic and flight medic for Carle Hospital; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Russell Chism enjoyed 4-wheeling, especially with 
14his son, and spending time with his children; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Russell Chism was preceded in death by his 
16maternal and paternal grandparents; and
  
 

  
17    WHEREAS, Russell Chism is survived by his wife, Prease; his 
18son, Addison; his daughter, Aidynn; his parents; his brothers, 
19Brad Chism and Scotty Chism; his parents-in-law, Darrell and 
20Cheet Winkler; his sister-in-law, Zachera (Joseph) Wier; and

1several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
4Russell "Rusty" Chism, and extend our sincere condolences to 
5his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
6further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to the family of Russell Chism as an expression of 
9our deepest sympathy.
