SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Alfrieda M. "Fef" Kuhajda, who passed 
4away on December 29, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Alfrieda Kuhajda was born on October 14, 1933 in 
6Joliet; her parents were Carl and Elizabeth (nee Kunke) 
7Wojnarowski; she was a lifelong resident of Joliet; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Alfrieda Kuhajda was a graduate of St. Thaddeus 
9Grade School and a member of Joliet Township High School's 
10Class of 1951; she subsequently attended Joliet Junior College; 
11and
 
12    WHEREAS, Alfrieda Kuhajda was employed as the office 
13manager at Associated Radiologists of Joliet for many years; 
14and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Alfrieda Kuhajda was a longtime member of St. Mary 
16Magdalene Parish and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies 
17Auxiliary; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Alfrieda Kuhajda was preceded in death by her 
19parents; 5 siblings, Harriet (Joseph, deceased) Kopernik, 
20Cecelia (Stanley, deceased) Stanek, Eugenia Ritter, Edward

1(Loretta, deceased) Gawenda, and Eleanore Wojnarowski; and a 
2great-niece, Kristi Sontag; and
  
 
3    WHEREAS, Alfrieda Kuhajda is survived by 2 daughters, Nancy 
4Kuhajda and Christine (Mark) Deters; 2 granddaughters, 
5Katherine and Natalie Deters; 3 brothers, Richard (Ann) 
6Wojnarowski, Eugene (Florence, deceased) Gawenda, and Casimir 
7(Marian) Gawenda; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be 
8it
  
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
11family and friends, mourn the passing of Alfrieda M. "Fef" 
12Kuhajda; and be it further
  
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
14presented to the family of Alfrieda Kuhajda as an expression of 
15our sympathy.
