| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Blanche A. Hatch of Lisle, who passed |
| 4 | | away on February 14, 2015; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Blanche Hatch was born at home on the family farm |
| 6 | | in Lisle Township on September 6, 1921 to Wallace and Anna |
| 7 | | Smith; she attended elementary school at the Main Street School |
| 8 | | in Lisle and graduated from Downers Grove North High School in |
| 9 | | 1940; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Blanche Hatch was a longtime bookkeeper at Lord |
| 11 | | Lumber in Downers Grove; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Blanche Hatch was a lifelong active parishioner at |
| 13 | | St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church; she was involved in the church |
| 14 | | medical missions, the Golden Agers, and the Rosary Group and |
| 15 | | was dedicated to the pro-life movement; she was also a longtime |
| 16 | | member of the Lisle Heritage Society; she enjoyed spending time |
| 17 | | in her flower and vegetable gardens and each year would spend |
| 18 | | countless hours canning and preserving the fruits of her |
| 19 | | labors; and
|
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Blanche Hatch was preceded in death by her husband |
| 21 | | of 64 years, Martin, and her parents; and
