SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Blanche A. Hatch of Lisle, who passed
4away on February 14, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Blanche Hatch was born at home on the family farm
6in Lisle Township on September 6, 1921 to Wallace and Anna
7Smith; she attended elementary school at the Main Street School
8in Lisle and graduated from Downers Grove North High School in
91940; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Blanche Hatch was a longtime bookkeeper at Lord
11Lumber in Downers Grove; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Blanche Hatch was a lifelong active parishioner at
13St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church; she was involved in the church
14medical missions, the Golden Agers, and the Rosary Group and
15was dedicated to the pro-life movement; she was also a longtime
16member of the Lisle Heritage Society; she enjoyed spending time
17in her flower and vegetable gardens and each year would spend
18countless hours canning and preserving the fruits of her
19labors; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Blanche Hatch was preceded in death by her husband
21of 64 years, Martin, and her parents; and

1    WHEREAS, Blanche Hatch is survived by her children, Sharon
2A. (Gerald) Scott and Lyle J. (Brenda) Hatch; her
3grandchildren, Christopher Scott, Shannon (Paul) Condos,
4Brennan (Sarah) and Jordan Scott, and JoAnna Hatch; and her
5great-grandchildren, Corinne, Kyle, Katie, Jacob, Cole, and
6Bryce; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Blanche A. Hatch, and extend our sincere condolences to her
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Blanche Hatch as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
