SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Bruce A. Schurman of Wheaton, who passed 
4away on January 13, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Bruce Schurman was a graduate of Hope College, 
6Western Michigan University, and the University of Iowa; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Bruce Schurman retired as President and CEO of 
8Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital in 1998; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Bruce Schurman was an active member of the Wheaton 
10Lions Club and Hope Presbyterian Church; he was also a Trustee 
11Emeritus for the Conservation Foundation; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Bruce Schurman was preceded in death by his 
13parents, Herman and Bertha Schurman, and 2 siblings, Bea 
14(Bruce) Hemple and Herbert (Betty) Schurman; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Bruce Schurman was the beloved husband of JoAnn 
16(nee Olson) Schurman; the loving father of Brian James 
17Schurman; and the loving grandfather of one grandson; 
18therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
2family and friends, mourn the passing of Bruce A. Schurman; and 
3be it further
  
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
5presented to the family of Bruce Schurman as an expression of 
6our sympathy.
