SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of LeRoy Daniel Herchenbach, who passed away 
4on February 20, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, LeRoy Herchenbach was born in St. Bernard, 
6Nebraska on November 29, 1923 and moved to Illinois during the 
7Great Depression; he served in the United States military 
8during World War II and took part in the invasion of Normandy; 
9he married Marilee McDougall; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, LeRoy Herchenbach and his wife co-founded Herky's 
11Trucking and established a family business that became 
12synonymous with the family name; and
  
 
  
13    WHEREAS, LeRoy Herchenbach was preceded in death by his 
14wife of 57 years, Marilee, and his daughters, Sharyn (Charles 
15Hershey) and Janet (Chris Calhoun); and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, LeRoy Herchenbach is survived by his children, 
17Jack (Connie), Rick, Mike, Jill (Mark Rhoderick), Joe (Beth), 
18and Amy; his companion, Donna Beagley; his sister, Emily 
19(Robert Kerbs); and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, 
20and extensive family relations; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3LeRoy Daniel Herchenbach, and extend our sincere condolences to 
4his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of LeRoy Herchenbach as an expression 
8of our deepest sympathy.
