| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Richard J. "Zeke" Russ, who passed away |
| 4 | | on February 25, 2015; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Richard Russ served his country with pride as a |
| 6 | | member of the United States Marine Corps; and
|
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Richard Russ was an advocate of boys' baseball |
| 8 | | during his children's youth and afterwards; he loved St. Joseph |
| 9 | | Church and enjoyed his duties as an usher; he was a fixture at |
| 10 | | St. Joe's Park, spending countless hours visiting with friends |
| 11 | | and listening to polka music at Sunday picnics; later in life, |
| 12 | | he found joy in spending time with his friends and fellow |
| 13 | | walkers at Louis Joliet Mall; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Richard Russ was preceded in death by his parents, |
| 15 | | Anton B. and Mary D. (nee Fabian) Russ; 2 sisters, Gertrude |
| 16 | | Shroba and Lucille Pagorski; a brother, Anton R. Russ; and his |
| 17 | | loving companion, Betty Monshau; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Richard Russ is survived by 5 children, Regina |
| 19 | | "Kim" Roman and Rodger, Ray, Dan, and Rick Russ; 4 sisters, |
| 20 | | Mary Ann Gregorich, Diane Budzinski, Kay Whiteley, and Linda |
| 21 | | Sartori; and his loving friend and companion, Mary Lou Cookas; |
