SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Alfred Bott, who passed away on February
423, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Alfred Bott was born on November 15, 1930 in
6Danville; his parents were Roy and Mildred Bott; he married
7Ruth McCulloch in 1974; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Alfred Bott graduated from Danville High School in
91949; he subsequently served his country during the Korean War;
10and
 
11    WHEREAS, Alfred Bott worked as a union representative and
12was a charter member of the Labor Management Board; he also
13served on the United Way Board, the Vermilion County Board for
1414 years, the Civic Center Board for 19 years, the Danville
15Sanitation Board for 9 years, and the Machinist Union for 23
16years; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Alfred Bott was a member of the Olive Branch in
18Danville, where he achieved the rank of 32nd Degree with the
19Masons; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Alfred Bott enjoyed traveling coast to coast with

1his good friends in the motor home he and his wife owned; he
2also enjoyed fishing trips with his fishing buddies, camping,
3and watching Clint Eastwood movies; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Alfred Bott is preceded in death by his parents,
5Roy and Mildred; a son, Robby Bott; a brother, Dave Bott; and a
6sister-in-law, Betty Bott; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Alfred Bott is survived by his wife, Ruth Bott;
8his daughters, Elaine Treadway Pfeifer, Linda (Tim) Walsh, and
9Lori Treadway Murphy; 9 grandchildren, Brittany (Jeppy
10Johansen) Bott, Corey Bott, Michael Pfeifer, Cheri Pfeifer,
11Amanda (Mike) Murphy Allen, Rebecca Murphy, Alexis (Justin)
12Walsh Wagle, Brooke Walsh and Brad Walsh; 10
13great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews;
14therefore, be it
 
15    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
16ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
17family and friends, mourn the passing of Alfred Bott; and be it
18further
 
19    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20presented to the family of Alfred Bott as an expression of our
21sympathy.
