SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Richard J. Galla, who passed away on
4March 12, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Richard Galla was born and raised in the
6Chicagoland area, where he met and married the love of his
7life, Annette Panek; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Richard Galla served his country as a member of
9the National Guard; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Richard Galla was the founder of the R.J. Galla
11Company, Inc. Insurance Agency in Grayslake, which has proudly
12served its clients for 45 years; his expertise was highly
13regarded in the insurance industry; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Richard Galla was a strong proponent for and
15dedicated his professional life to supporting Illinois
16community colleges and commercial businesses; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Richard Galla was an avid golfer and a musician
18who had a deep affection for jazz; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Richard Galla is survived by his wife of 57 years,

1Annette; 4 children, Richard G. "Ricky" (Kristen), Connie
2(Tony), David (Roberta), and Rachel (and her faithful
3companion, "Bully"); 4 grandchildren, Jessica "Boo Boo",
4Joseph "Goey", Jillian "silly-Jilly", and Henry; 6
5great-grandchildren, Alexa, Grace, Izzy, Josephine, Olivia,
6and Jaxen; a brother, Gerald; 2 brothers-in-law, Ronnie and
7Joey "The Big Guy"; and his many other relatives and friends;
8therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
11family and friends, mourn the passing of Richard J. Galla; and
12be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Richard Galla as an expression of
15our sympathy.
