SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of V. Jane Thrush of Peoria, who passed away
4on March 17, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jane Thrush was born in rural Walnut Grove on
6February 22, 1936 to Calvin and Dorothy (nee Ramer) Wilson, and
7soon thereafter, her family settled in Roseville; she attended
8Roseville elementary and high schools before earning her degree
9in nursing at the Methodist School of Nursing; she also earned
10a bachelor's degree in nursing from the College of Saint
11Francis in Joliet; she met her future husband, James Everett
12Thrush when they were toddlers, and 20 years later on August 4,
131957, they married; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Jane Thrush worked as a pediatric nurse in the
15office of Dr. Callaway before joining the staff at the American
16Red Cross; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Jane Thrush took art classes after retiring,
18producing a series of wonderful flower paintings; she also
19knitted blankets for her grandkids and loved her geraniums; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Jane Thrush was preceded in death by her husband,
21James and her parents; and

1    WHEREAS, Jane Thrush is survived by 3 sisters, Barb Wilson,
2Connie Larkin, and Jean Taylor; her daughters, Kimberly Sue
3(Brian "Fox" Ellis) Thrush and Jill Ann (Robert) Pegg; her 4
4grandchildren, Ryan Thrush, Anthony Pegg, Lily Ellis, and
5Laurel Ellis; many nieces and nephews; and her lifelong best
6friend, Skip Smith; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9V. Jane Thrush, and extend our sincere condolences to her
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Jane Thrush as an expression of our
14deepest sympathy.
