SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Ronald J.P. Banks; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Ronald Banks graduated from DePaul Law School in
51968; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Ronald Banks started his public career as a Cook
7County prosecutor; he eventually supervised traffic court and
8served as an Associate Judge; he was elected Circuit Court
9Judge in 1982, retiring in 2000; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Ronald Banks enjoyed movies, playing golf,
11playing cards, and vacationing in Jamaica with his wife, Donna;
12and
 
13    WHEREAS, Ronald Banks was the beloved husband of Donna (nee
14Smat); the devoted father of Ronald (Shelly), Kimberly, Samuel
15(Rosella), Lynn, Hope (Dean) Jaeger, and Heather Banks; the
16loving son of the late James J. and Hope Marie Banks; the dear
17son-in-law of Virginia (the late Charles) Smat; the proud
18Grandfather of Ariana, Marisa, Miles Banks, and Matthew and
19Jacob Jaeger; the dear brother of Marlene Panebianco, The
20Honorable William J.P. (Shirley), and of the late James and the
21late Samuel V.P. (Dorothy) Banks; and the beloved uncle and

1great-uncle of many; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Ronald J.P. Banks, and extend our sincere condolences to his
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
6further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Ronald Banks as an expression of our
9deepest sympathy.
