| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 | | learn of the death of Robert Waldo "Bob" Frantz of Huntley, who |
| 4 | | passed away on November 14, 2014; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Bob Frantz was born in Kansas City, Missouri on |
| 6 | | August 5, 1926 to Olna and Leita (nee Rhoads) Frantz; he |
| 7 | | married Ruth in 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri; he served in the |
| 8 | | United States Army; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Bob Frantz worked for Motorola in microwave |
| 10 | | communications; he was a Roselle board member and was elected |
| 11 | | Mayor of Roselle in 1969; later, he was employed by Santa Fe |
| 12 | | Railroad and MCI; and
|
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Bob Frantz had a longtime passion for private |
| 14 | | flying and owned 7 different airplanes at various times, most |
| 15 | | recently a Piper Arrow 6398C; he was proud to have received the |
| 16 | | FAA Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award in 2013; his flying |
| 17 | | career included over 7,500 hours and Private, Commercial, |
| 18 | | Instrument, Seaplane, Multiengine, and ATP ratings; he flew all |
| 19 | | over the United States and to many other countries; he enjoyed |
| 20 | | long time active membership in the Northeast Pilots |
| 21 | | Association, the Illinois Pilots Association, and the United |
| 22 | | States Pilots Association; and
