SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Margaret Manke of Woodstock, who passed
4away on January 5, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Margaret Manke was born in Woodstock on July 6,
61922 to Herman and Mary (nee Buttino) Gluth; she married Harvey
7Manke on August 9, 1941 in Woodstock; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Margaret Manke was a lifetime member of St. John's
9Lutheran Church in Woodstock; she was active in many church
10activities, including Meals on Wheels and the Ladies Aid; she
11enjoyed spending Tuesday nights at the bake house singing and
12dancing to polka music with her many friends and spending time
13with her family, especially her grandchildren and
14great-grandchildren; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Margaret Manke was preceded in death by her
16parents; her husband, Harvey; her daughter-in-law, Sandy
17Manke; her 2 brothers, Jim Gluth and Mike Gluth; and her
18sister, Christine Gluth; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Margaret Manke is survived by her sons, Roger
20(Char) Manke and Bill (Teresa Hay) Manke; her 10 grandchildren,
21Tyne (Jeremy) Peterson, Terra (Pat Peterson) Manke, Andrea (Max

1Christel) Manke, Andrew Manke, Myranda Manke, Brian (Jenn)
2Manke, Todd (Missi) Manke, Mandi (Jason) Rozycki, Scott (Beth)
3Manke, and Shari Manke; her 6 great-grandchildren, Maddie
4Manke, Lainey Manke, Tyler Rozycki, Colin Rozycki, Sage
5Peterson, and Peytyn Peterson; her brother, Frank Gluth; her
6sister, Darlene Parlow; and several nieces and nephews;
7therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Margaret Manke, and extend our sincere condolences to her
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Margaret Manke as an expression of
15our deepest sympathy.
