SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Michael Stephen Ferguson, who passed away 
4on December 22, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Michael Ferguson was born in Chicago on May 25, 
61952 to Paul Eugene and Theresa Lorraine (nee Bute) Ferguson; 
7and
  
 
  
8    WHEREAS, Michael Ferguson was an avid outdoorsman; he 
9enjoyed camping, hiking, fishing, and golfing; he loved his 
10long country drives and spending time with his family and 
11friends; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Michael Ferguson was preceded in death by his 
13parents; his step-father, Norman Smith; and his brothers, John 
14O'Hara, Thomas Scott, and Howard David; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Michael Ferguson is survived by his wife, Theresa; 
16his children, Andrea Harris, Dawn Ferguson, Michael Ferguson, 
17Amanda Ferguson, and Kate Ferguson; his grandchildren, Sonya, 
18Justin, and Jeffrey, Anthony and Ian, Tyler and Samantha, and 
19Ethan and Mason; his brothers, Paul Robert and  Norman Andrew; 
20and his sisters, Elizabeth Jean, Theresa Lorraine, Mary Olivia, 
21Cynthia, Denise Lynn, and Leslie Dawn; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Michael Stephen Ferguson, and extend our sincere condolences to 
4his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Michael Ferguson as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
