SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Paul D. Yaney of Spring Grove, who passed
4away on February 23, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Paul Yaney graduated from Monterey High School in
6Lubbock, Texas and then served as a gunner's mate in the United
7States Navy on board the U.S.S. Eisenhower, and later the
8U.S.S. Manitowoc, during the Gulf War; he earned an engineering
9degree from Northern Illinois University and a Master's of
10Business Administration from Webster University; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Paul Yaney worked at several Chicago-area
12manufacturing companies, most recently at ITW Kester INC. in
13Itasca; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Paul Yaney enjoyed the great outdoors; he was
15proud to have attained the rank of Eagle Scout and continued to
16take pleasure in camping and boating; he loved riding his
17motorcycle and captaining his boat on the weekends; he could
18often be found relaxing in his backyard by a bonfire or playing
19volleyball or softball with his family and friends; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Paul Yaney is survived by his wife of 4 years,
21Kim; his 2 children, Shannon Yaney and Rebecca Mielke; his

1granddaughter, Hannah Jones; his mother, Barbara (Roger)
2Palmer; his father, Joseph Yaney; his sister, Monica (Jeff)
3Tolva; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins;
4therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Paul D. Yaney, and extend our sincere condolences to his
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Paul Yaney as an expression of our
12deepest sympathy.
