SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Diane L. Schwind of Richmond, who passed
4away on January 16, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Diane Schwind born in Arlington Heights on August
629, 1934 to Louis and Louise (nee Peters) Maierhofer; she
7married Leon F. Schwind on June 6, 1953 in Buffalo Grove; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Diane Schwind and her husband were vegetable
9farmers and operated Schwind's Vegetable Stand for many years;
10and
 
11    WHEREAS, Diane Schwind enjoyed spending time with her
12family, playing cards, Tuesday nights at the Bake House in
13Hebron listening to the accordion players, and bingo at the
14Richmond Firehouse; she looked forward to her daily visits to
15the Depot Restaurant in Richmond for fellowship and she was
16involved with the Women of the Moose and the Golden Agers Club
17in Harvard; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Diane Schwind was preceded in death by her
19parents; her husband, Leon; her grandson, Ryan Glen Schwind;
20her sister, Dorothy Housewerth; and her brother, Louis
21Maierhofer; and

1    WHEREAS, Diane Schwind is survived by her 3 sons, Leon
2(Karen) Schwind, Glen (Darlene) Schwind, and Dennis Schwind;
3her 6 grandchildren, Amy, Eric (Tabetha), Renae, Matthew
4(Kathryn), Sarah, and Daniel; and her 2 great-grandsons, Colton
5and Corbin; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Diane L. Schwind, and extend our sincere condolences to her
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Diane Schwind as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
