SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of James L. "Jim" Meader of Lockport, who
4passed away on April 4, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, James Meader was born in Joliet and a lifelong
6Lockport resident; he attended Taft Grade School and was a 1955
7Graduate of Lockport Township High School; he was a United
8States Army Reserve Veteran; and
 
9    WHEREAS, James Meader retired from the Caterpillar Tractor
10Company as a supervisor after 32 years of service; he was a
11lifelong farmer and an active member of the Will County Farm
12Bureau, where he served as past Vice-President; and
 
13    WHEREAS, James Meader was a member of St. Patrick Parish in
14Manhattan and a former member of St. Dennis Church in Lockport;
15he was a member of the Minneapolis-Moline Collector's Club; he
16loved auction sales, Minneapolis-Moline tractors, and farming,
17but most of all he cherished spending time with his family and
18friends; and
 
19    WHEREAS, James Meader was preceded in death by his parents,
20Louis and Gertrude (nee Stief) Meader, and his sister, Lois
21Meader; and

1    WHEREAS, James Meader is survived by his wife of 34 years,
2Norma (nee Hennings); his daughter, Lisa Meader; his 2
3step-children, Robert Domanic and Jodi Domanic; his 2
4grandsons, Shawn Domanic and Alex Riccio; his sister, Gladys
5(late John) Matejcak; his 2 nephews, Mark (Jeanne) Matejcak and
6Steven (LuAnn) Matejcak; his great-niece, Stephanie (fiance
7Tim Turner) Matejcak; his great-nephew, Shane Matejcak; and his
8cousin, Henry (Mary Beth) Meader; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11James L. "Jim" Meader, and extend our sincere condolences to
12his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
13further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of James Meader as an expression of our
16deepest sympathy.
