SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Dorothy Nicolet Schulz of Alton, who 
4passed away on April 5, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Dorothy Schulz was born in Alton on October 14, 
61928 to Leo and Mary Jane Nicolet; she graduated from Alton 
7High School and St. Joseph's School of Nursing; she married 
8Arthur E. Schulz on October  7, 1950 at St. Mary's Catholic 
9Church; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, Dorothy Schulz spent the next 40 years as a nurse 
11helping others; this culminated in her position as the longtime 
12Director of Nursing at Alton Memorial Hospital; and
  
 

  
13    WHEREAS, Dorothy Schulz is survived by her husband, Arthur; 
14her 5 children and their spouses, John and Marie Schulz, 
15Rebecca and Ron Wilkinson, Eric and Pamela Schulz, Ned and Jill 
16Schulz, and Marilyn and Dan Erzen;

her 11 grandchildren; and 
17her 12 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
  
 
18    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
19ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
20Dorothy Nicolet Schulz, and extend our sincere condolences to 
21her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
