SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Michael C. Upperman, III of Springfield, 
4who passed away on April 10, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Michael Upperman, III was born on October 1, 1992, 
6in Champaign, to Michael Upperman, Jr. and Kimberly (nee 
7Hanney) Clark; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, Michael Upperman, III was a very involved member 
9of Sigma Chi Fraternity; he served on a National Leadership 
10Board and held various positions with Sigma Chi; he was also 
11chosen to attend the Leadership Academy at Southeast Missouri 
12State University; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Michael Upperman, III enjoyed hanging out with his 
14friends and fraternity brothers, target shooting, and 
15traveling abroad; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Michael Upperman, III was preceded in death by his 
17grandmother, Ada Clark, and his beloved Nana; and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, Michael Upperman, III is survived by his parents 
19Kim and Scott Clark; 2 sisters, Courtney Upperman and Nichole 
20(Ryan) Strebing; a brother, Chad Clark; his grandparents, Bill

1and Barb Hanney, Bob Clark, Phyllis Quigley, and Mike and 
2Carolyn Upperman; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and his 
3dog, Sophie; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his 
6family and friends, mourn the passing of Michael C. Upperman, 
7III; and be it further
  
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
9presented to the family of Michael Upperman, III as an 
10expression of our sympathy.
