SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Irene Brackmann of McHenry, who passed
4away on December 23, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Irene Brackmann was born on June 14, 1924 in
6Addison; her parents were Otto and Helene (nee Plass) Backhaus;
7she married Edward Brackmann on May 14, 1949 at St. Paul
8Lutheran Church in Addison; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Irene Brackmann was employed at Mr. Don's Cleaners
10for 25 years; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Irene Brackmann was a member of Zion Lutheran
12Church in McHenry; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Irene Brackmann enjoyed spending time with her
14co-workers and going to her grandchildren's sports games; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Irene Brackmann was preceded in death by her
16husband, Edward Brackmann; her parents; a brother, Fremont
17Backhaus; and her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Art and
18Evelyn Semeyn, Ruth Brackmann, Herb and Loraine Vierow, Richard
19Brackmann, Robert Brackmann, and Jim Manggaard; and

1    WHEREAS, Irene Brackmann is survived by 2 children, Marlene
2(Chris) Jungmann and Phyllis Womack; 3 grandchildren,
3Christiana (Jonas Troka) Jungmann, Edward (Kate) Jungmann, and
4Carl Jungmann; 3 great-grandchildren, Jesse, Sean, and Landon;
5her in-laws, Lorriane Backhaus, Jan Brackmann, Marge
6Brackmann, Luella Manggaard, and William Brackmann; and many
7nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
10family and friends, mourn the passing of Irene Brackmann; and
11be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Irene Brackmann as an expression of
14our sympathy.
