SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Martin L. "Marty" Sternberg of Marengo, 
4who passed away on February 7, 2015; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Martin Sternberg was born in Harvard on January 
621, 1937 to Victor and Ethel (nee Schuld) Sternberg; he 
7attended West Harmony Grade School and graduated from Marengo 
8Community High School in 1955; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Martin Sternberg spent many years working on the 
10family farm, Bordon's Feed in Hampshire, and Morton Salt in 
11Woodstock; and
  
 
  
12    WHEREAS, Martin Sternberg was preceded in death by his 
13parents; his brother, David; and his sister and brother-in-law, 
14Rebecca (Robert) Dovich; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Martin Sternberg is survived by his brother, 
16Robert (Roberta) Sternberg; his niece, Robin (Gordon) Shetley; 
17his great-grand-nephew, Brendan Shetley; and his 
18great-grand-step-niece, Madison Shetley; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

1Martin L. "Marty" Sternberg, and extend our sincere condolences 
2to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be 
3it further
  
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be

6our deepest sympathy.
