SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Lillian Ellen Braidwood, who passed away
4on February 11, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Lillian Braidwood was born on November 30, 1914 to
6Carl and Anna Kristina Blanner; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Lillian Braidwood's favorite accomplishment was
8during World War II when she became the first woman clerk for
9McHenry Township; she was an active member of the McHenry
10Legion Post 491 Auxiliary; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Lillian Braidwood enjoyed her volunteer work as a
12Pink Lady and for Sheltered Village; she was a supporter of the
13arts; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Lillian Braidwood was preceded in death by her
15parents; her 2 husbands, Robert James Conway, I and Henry F.
16Braidwood; her daughter, Rita Ann Weyland; her son, Robert
17James Conway, II; her great-grandson, Johnny Weyland; her
18son-in-law, John Viktor Svalander; her siblings, Carl Blanner,
19II, Stella Calbow, Allen (Millie) Blanner, Helen (Ralph)
20Magnuson, and Vernon Blanner; her brother-in-law, Thomas
21Spantideas; and sisters-in-law, Maxine Blanner, Beryl Blanner,

1and Mildred Blanner; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Lillian Braidwood is survived by her children,
3Dennis (Janet) Conway and Judith (Peter Vucha) Svalander; her
4grandchildren, William (Regina) Weyland, Kristi-Ann (James)
5Finnan, John (Shari) Weyland, Joseph Carl Weyland, Alex Vucha,
6Ann (Mark) Dudley, Ellen Alejandra Vucha, Erin (Tom) Raddatz,
7Heather (Dave) Murgatroyd, Ryan (Sheri) Conway, Veronica (Tim)
8Myers, Robert James Conway, III, Stephanie (Bill) Morrison,
9Kirsten Conway, and Crissy Conway; her 18 great-grandchildren;
10her 7 great-great-grandchildren; and her 2 brothers, John and
11Donald Blanner; therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
14Lillian Ellen Braidwood, and extend our sincere condolences to
15her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
16further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Lillian Braidwood as an expression
19of our deepest sympathy.
