SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Daniel A. Pauley of McHenry, who passed 
4away on November 25, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Daniel Pauley was born in Chicago on March 23, 
61926 to Adam and Pauline (nee Knapik) Pauley; he enlisted in 
7the United States Marine Corps in July of 1944, serving  as a 
8mortar crewman in the Pacific and participating in action at 
9Okinawa and with the occupation of Japan; he married Mary K. 
10Whittenberg on March 18, 1945 in Chicago and was discharged 
11from the Marine Corps in July of 1946; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, Daniel Pauley was a resident of McHenry since 
131979; he was employed as a draftsman for his entire career, 
14working at several companies during his lifetime; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Daniel Pauley had an interest in guns and enjoyed 
16going to the shooting range; he also liked to take long drives; 
17and
  
 
  
18    WHEREAS, Daniel Pauley is survived by  his wife, Mary; his 3 
19children, Cynthia (the late David) Myers, Alan (Sue) Pauley, 
20and Kimberly Pauley; his 7 grandchildren; and his 8 
21great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of 
3Daniel A. Pauley, and extend our sincere condolences to his 
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it 
5further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the family of Daniel Pauley as an expression of 
8our deepest sympathy.
