SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Lenora E. Frisby of McHenry, who passed
4away on December 9, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Lenora Frisby was born in McHenry on March 30,
61917 to Robert J. and Elizabeth A. (nee Zens) Frisby; she was a
7lifelong resident of McHenry; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Lenora Frisby began her career at Chicago National
9in 1941, working there until 1951; after working for an
10insurance company in Woodstock for about 5 years, in 1956 she
11began working in McHenry at the newly opened McHenry State
12Bank, beginning as the secretary to the President and working
13her way up to Assistant Cashier, then Vice-President, then
14Senior Vice-President and Trust Officer; she was elected to the
15Board of Directors and retired in 1984; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Lenora Frisby was active in several
17organizations, including McHenry Business and Professional
18Women (formerly McHenry Women in Action), who named her "Woman
19of the Year"; she served as a volunteer for Family Alliance,
20FISH, and Meals on Wheels; she was a lifelong member of St.
21Patrick's Church, a member of the St. Patrick's Ladies Guild,
22and a member of the Centegra Hospital Auxiliary; and

1    WHEREAS, Lenora Frisby was an avid reader and loved poetry;
2she had a great sense of humor and enjoyed writing; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Lenora Frisby was preceded in death by her
4parents; her 2 brothers, George and Robert Frisby; her 2
5nieces, Sherry Bell and Cathy Sossong; her nephew, Craig
6Nellis, Sr.; and her longtime friend and companion, Melvin
7Walsh; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Lenora Frisby is survived by her 2 nieces, Trish
9Frisby and Sandy (James) Buegeler; her nephew, Michael
10(Jennifer) Frisby; and many great-nieces and great-nephews;
11therefore, be it
 
12    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
13ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
14Lenora E. Frisby, and extend our sincere condolences to her
15family, her friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
16further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Lenora Frisby as an expression of
19our deepest sympathy.
